May 24: Hhusatahwi Saloon

Hhusatahwi, just north of the aetheryte (X: 29.0, Y: 30.0)

Got a job that needs doing? Sighted a deadly fiend on the plains? Have a yarn to spin? Or a score to settle? Chances are you'll find your fix at the saloon in Hhusatahwi. Cheap drinks, tall tales, and lively company are nigh on guaranteed, so why don't you head down to the local watering hole?

Sheshenewezi Springs, just NE of the aetheryte (X: 16.3, Y: 18.0)

A place for everyone to gather whether it's been a long day hauling ceruleum, you're waiting for the next train north to Yyasulani, or you just finished up a good hunt. Try your hand at some target shooting, and catch up on local gossip while you're at it.

June 7: Otsekarri Shore

Mehwahhetsoan aetheryte, east shore of Lake Toari (X: 34.0, Y: 13.0)

There's a slower pace of life out here on the Pyariyoanaan Plain. Visitors to Lake Toari often find themselves swapping stories around the campfire, sitting on the dock with a line in the water, or even taking a dip in the lake to cool off on a hot summer day. Just mind the gators.

Guidelines

Every character with a reason to be in Tural is welcome at our RP events, whether Turali, Alexandrian, or from anywhere across the salt. Our events are public RP opportunities for all to make new friends, catch up with old friends, and take a breather in between the bigger scheme of things. We all share responsibility for creating a fun, welcoming, creative collaborative storytelling environment. Etiquette and guidelines keep us all on the same page.

  1. IC =/= OOC. We welcome organic and lore-supported IC conflict, such as Turali vs. Alexandrians, but please keep it IC. OOC hostility or persisting despite OOC tells will not be tolerated. Remember that if someone’s character dislikes yours, this does not mean that the writer dislikes you personally.

  2. While characters of all backgrounds, origins, and alignments are welcome, our RP events are Turali-focused settings first and foremost. Keep the focus on Tural, learning about it, experiencing it, and interacting with it.

  3. Character concepts that require a huge suspension of disbelief within the setting (e.g., Ascians, literal voidsent, WoLs, vampires, etc.) will be met with skepticism at best. These types of characters are likely not suited to these events.

  4. Cultural sensitivity. While Turali cultures draw obvious inspiration from real-life Indigenous/Latino/Hispanic cultures across the Americas, they are not direct equivalents, nor are they meant to be vehicles for racism and stereotypes. Many RPers in this group are members of these cultures in real life, and all of us want to celebrate the rich lore in-game. We aim to respectfully include Turali cultures and lore in our individual and collective tales. Don’t be a bigot or jerk about it.

  5. That being said, well-meaning ignorance is not a crime, and the goal is to lift each other up, be open-minded, and gently correct if necessary. Please don’t dogpile on someone or be unnecessarily cruel for making a mistake. Not all of us have the same education or historical context.

  6. Be kind and welcome new faces and folks that arrive alone. Many RPers are socially anxious and it’s a big leap to put yourself out there! Say hello, ask about their cool hat, buy them a drink!
